Fished some dock lights this morning , tide was just coming in at sunrise so stopped for coffee and egg sandwich dock side. Blues , ladyfish, jacks were plowing thru bait all over the bay with birds giving tell tails on the action. Feelin' pretty happy with life I ran up to some mangrove islands that have oyster bars and sand bottoms around them. Busted out the anchor for the first time in months and backed the boat to skinny and set the talons . Waded for two hours picked off 6 reds(lots more misses) and a couple snook out of the mangroves. Every fish was in 18 inches or less of water and taken on a 4" DOA paddle tail in glow rigged on a # 3 1/4 oz weighted weedless Savage hook loop knotted uni on 3' 25lb fluora double uni'ed to 20lb Power Pro 3000 class spinner on a 7'6" med/fast. I forget how much fun it is to wade sometimes . Bite shut down around 10 when the tide hit ebb. Collected the boat and headed home.

Sounds like fun. Watch out for horseshoe crabs!
