Ran up to Tampa Bay today. Fishing the south shore to get out of the wind. Was a lazy outgoing tide so jumped out and waded the flats outside Bishops Harbor, a big flush spot. Fishing zara spooks in mullet (style of lure) with circle hooks. Wading in 2-4'. Action was good couple reds to 28", 3 trout to 22" a dink snook (making my inshore slam!) . But the weirdest was all the puffer fish. I caught 10 and my partner another six. We are going back with a stringer. With the plan of filling them with sand and drying them out. Coating them with a couple coats of clear and put them on a string of lights.

That's pretty cool. Did you catch the puffers on the spooks or the mullet? seems hard to believe they'd bite on spooks.
