anyone have a 228 powered by a Suzuki 175? i am looking at one on the lot now and not sure if ill be satisfied with the 175 or need to order the 200? any info as far as top speeds and fuel economy when cruising would really help.

I have a 175 on my 208. I think it’s only about 200 pounds difference in the weight of the hulls. If it’s flat and I can trim it right it will do 50+ mph. It cruises 35 mph at 4200 rpm.

I'd have to vote for the 200. No more weight for the added hp = no brainer.
