Anyone know where I can get the 90 degree square tubing that the PVC pipe fits over on guide rails? You can see my right side rail just to the rear of the back tire in the attached picture. I misjudged the distance between the pillars at the end of my driveway and broke the right side guide rail off. I'm going to try and fix it but not sure I can and will probably need to buy a new one.

That’s pretty cool. I replaced mine recently and the tubing is aluminum. Seems cheesy to me. I’m waiting for them to implode. I did add cap lights which I like a lot.
Anyone know how one could straighten steel ones? One is 90 deg. The other is about 84 deg. Looked like a peace sign from behind.

Steel bends pretty well, I'd muscle it. If it wasn't galvanized, I'd just heat it up and bend it.

They don’t spend much time in water and are rinsed after each use. New ones came from my fishing buddy who works for a marine parts distributor. I’ll see if I can find brand/part# and send to you.

I think maybe he meant to not try to bend galvanized by heating. If it gets too hot when you try to heat or cut it with an acetylene torch it releases zinc oxide fumes and it will mess up your eyes! Ask me how I know. The aluminum guide rail supports that are on my trailer had a smaller square steel tube bolted inside and extending up inside the 2" PVC... (I'm assuming for added support) There wasn't much left of that steel tube. It had rusted so badly, it came out in little pieces. The aluminum part I broke looked fine.

Yes, heating/welding galvanaized is pretty dangerous. It can make you very sick.

That’s good to know. I was thinking of seeing if I could heat it some way, but the issue of how to actually do the bending hadn’t been solved yet. How would one attempt to bend a giant square pipe like that? I am at a loss.

Yes, well, if I had Woder Woman over to the house I wouldn't be worried about some stupid boat trailer.

It shouldn't be hard. Find some steel pipe that will slide over it and use it as a lever. You can also use the "v" of a tree.

I was thinking about putting the short end in my receiver and pushing or pulling with my tractor, but I didn't think I'd get it to bend at exactly the right spot so I gave up.

I have an aluminum ladder standoff like the photo. If I ever had to replace one of my load bars I’d look at picking one of these up for about $30 and cutting one end off. They are the right shape and length. The end that attaches to the trailer may be a little shorter but it looks like it would work fine.
