I agree. I called them with my trailer serial number and they matched up the parts I needed, and seem to be pretty reasonable with pricing.

Before you install them spray them down with open gear lube, they'll last forever. You can find it in many industrial supply shops.

It should do 4. You'll use most on the sides so it penetrates between the leaves.

Take off one side . Know your boat weight. take to any trailer shop...if they were not left rot to failure better just to bring the boat trailer to any shop. They are not trailer specific and you buy them in pairs. If you can't find open gear lube, I spay leaf springs with white lithium . Also gets rid of the "squeak". Did this to my truck when I did a c-notch axle flip. The lithium needs to be redone every year . I will research the open gear lube, sounds like a better product. I know this a new to you boat . If you are able replace bolts/nuts with S/S and hardware to alloy if the structure of the trailer is aluminum. Costs a bit more now...

The open gear lube lasts for years. My last Sea Pro/trailer combo was 17 years old when I sold it, original springs still going strong. You may have to do minor touch-ups here and there each year but it beats replacing springs every few years. I spray it on anything on the trailer that isn't aluminum or galvanized.

gtinga, how nasty is that stuff? Read that it's impossible to get off of anything you get it onto, intentionally or otherwise.
I could see putting that on my springs. I'm also wondering if I should put it on the undercarriage of my travel trailer which resides at the marina and is enveloped in vaguely salty air.

Crabs, It's just as nasty as you've read, it's not coming off anything it gets on and that is what makes it so effective. It's basically a heavy oil product with a carrier that evaporates when sprayed on the springs. Look out for overspray and don't wear anything you may want to wear in public again. Once it's on it has a texture like an asphault road on a hot day. It's good stuff.

Thanks. I may experiment with this. I am intrigued and can imagine several applications.
