Where do I need to start looking for a new cowling for my motor? 2003 Johnson 150. Hail storm knocked us pretty good last night.

Wow. Sorry to see that. Must have been some large hail to that kind of damage. I'd start by calling my insurance company and then check ebay. www.ebay.com/i/133339031332?chn=ps

Insurance company has been called, got the house, boat, camper and my new truck. Insurance company is gonna hate me. Found a few on ebay but none like that one.

That’s awful.
Try calling around to local marine mechanic shops. Sometimes they collect parts from defunct motors. They’ll usually have some lower units and T&T assemblies. Could very well have a cowling.
Watch Craigslist too. Good luck.

Bump. I've searched all over and made numerous calls. Coming up with nothing, the 115 works for 90,115 only but it was worth looking into. Might be time for a 4 stroke upgrade.

There is a place in Mississippi that specializes in cowling repair. I'll try to get the info from my brother.

I've looked but couldn't find the right one either. Have you considered repairing that one?

Here's the place that did my brother's cowling after it got in a fight with a piling. I think it cost him around $500 decals and all.

Had any luck finding one? There are 4 or 5 Marine and outboard repair shops close by I'd be happy to call for ya or I can just give you their numbers.

I found one! Called a buddy who owns a local outboard repair shop and he has one.. He said it could use a paint job but only wants $100 for it. I have no idea what shipping would cost. Here's his number if interested: Billy Fowler Dothan Outboard (334) 714-5189

Actually my neighbors sister lives in Selma and is coming to SC next week. I'll see what I can work out.

Glad to help. Selma is about 150 miles from here so if that doesn't work and after talking to Billy you still want the cowling, I don't mind picking it up and shipping it to you if you pay the shipping costs.

I'm not sure if that one will fit or not. Mine is after bro took over so it's the newer design for that year. J150PXSTM is the model number for my motor

You might call Billy and ask him. He's been in the outboard business for more than 40 years so I'm sure he can tell you if it will fit or not.
