Too high of a cost , I will happily pay every five years to stave off taking advantage of the freebee's. Worked too hard to retire at fifty not to enjoy the 15 years before hitting the early bird specials. License fees goes to good uses. Have several friends with DPNR and Fish & Game in the enforcement level.

I bought a lifetime license when I was about 20 and saved a small fortune. Now it's free in AL but I still have to buy an out of state Florida license every year. I don't mind. Like skeeter said, it goes to a good cause.

Right O Jaun ! Did the math and I am not loosing too much $ doing fivers and a couple singles. Only wish I had been in better financial position when I moved from Galveston to Sarasota 30+ years ago. I figure I really do enjoy all the public ramps alone (except when they decide to close them). I looked into renting a lift locally $250-450 a month... The few private ramps either stopped selling keys or went to charging for each launch. Regargless totally grooving on my hard card. The bass is a Guy Harvey print also . Think I will go fishing today !

I have AL, GA, and SC lifetime hunting/fishing licenses. Although it hurt on that initial purchase, it is very nice now. My son got a GA lifetime hunting/fishing for his birthday this year. He was a little bummed that it wasn't a video game, but he's pretty happy now.
