So picked up a 18cc last week, cheap but needing a floor and partial transom. Anybody ran composite board as replacement? Planning to keep her a long while so is it worth the extra cost over marine ply?

Previous owner was a camp here in eastern NC seems that the boat was partially sank and someone started attempting to clean her up and never finished. Floor is nearly gone from console back, the step transom is only soft directly around plug.

yes used it on a ranger and a pathfinder . Cost is way up but worth it. Wood rots plastic is forever. Honey comb sheeting. Also look into west systems products. Again more $ but a superior product that is that much easer to work with.

Well for what I paid and hopefully what I can get for motor and other odds and ends I'm not keeping I can take the higher road and get rid of all the wood totally, redoing center console and going to attempt to glass it In with the deck

I can take the higher road and get rid of all the wood totally, redoing center console and going to attempt to glass it In with the deck Good luck. That's a huge job since not only the deck but even the stringers are more than likely going to be wood and will need to be replaced on a 90 model. I doubt you'll ever recover the expense you'll put in it to restore it but it will make for a great project.

From what I can tell stringers are solid glass...

I hope you're right. If they are please let us know because to my knowledge the stringers are wood on all models made prior to 95/96. You might want to drill a hole in one to verify their condition and that they're not glassed over wooden stringers.

That's the plan... from what humi can get to of them they feel solid once deck is open it will tell all... fixing it is still cheaper than a new boat
