My boat came from the dealer rigged with Uflex Brand hydraulic steering. It was hard to turn from new and I figured I needed to work the air out of it and it would get better. It hasnt. It takes two hands to turn it trimmed down on plane. The dealers answer was to trim it up. Thats not always an option. I know lots of new boats with big 4 strokes come with power steering or power assisted steering, and, that was an option I didnt select. So, now Im looking at adding it.
Any experience on adding the Seastar Power Assist to a Uflex system?
Thanks,

Mine does the same thing and my dealer said the same thing. God forbid the wife having to drive the boat if I get hurt.

Good point skeeter. Is it hard to turn while in neutral as well, or only when under way?
