The right side map stays on the screen. Any page I change to keeps the map on the right side. Any ideas?

Never seen that happen. If all else fails, you might go to "settings" and then "restore defaults" and start over but I'd save my waypoints first since they'll probably be gone after restoring defaults.

Weird. I'd do just as Juan said and then go to Lowrance's website and see if there is a software update for that model. Installing an update will likely cause it to do a hard reset that should make your bug go away.
Let us know. I run a Lowrance on my boat.

I did a soft reset. Press and hold pages and hit the power button. Keep holding the pages button until the map appears. Cleared everything up! Didn’t lose any waypoints. Whew, never expected it to be that easy or actually work. I’ve only been boating for 3 years. I have Lowrance’s that came with the boat. Everything has been steep learning curve.
Another question: I know you aren’t suppose to run the units out of water. Is it possible to run them with only the power connected and not the data/transducer connected to tool around with it?

I've been boating for over 50 years (before fishfinders we had glass bottom buckets ) and I've never heard that. I've run mine many times out of water for hours at a time while entering waypoints without any issues. The depth won't show up correctly out of water but everything else works fine. Glad you got it working right.

Thanks Juan. I picked up that little nugget of the Internet, which as you know has way too many “experts”

Just because I've never heard of it doesn't make it fact. I've never seen a warning in any of my owner's manuals about it. I've done it forever and never had any problems. Your question perked my interest so I googled and read up on it. Some did say that the transducer can overheat and be damaged if run out of water for a long time but most of the comments I read said it's not true and it won't hurt a thing. I can't imagine how a transducer can get hot by running it out of water unless maybe it's not wired right or shorted out. They work using ultrasonic radio / sonar waves and to my knowledge radio waves don't generate heat. Hell, through hull transducers are never in the water and they don't get hot. To be safe you might unplug the transducer if you're going to run your gps out of water for a long time but personally I think it's BS and I'm not worried about it.

Yeah, I've done it for 30 min to an hour with no ill effects (other than bringing worms up to the surface )

They say the transducer can overheat and get dammaged, go into your sonar menu and you may have the option to pause the sonar or just unplug it if your worried about it.

Played around with it for an hour today. Put the transducer in a bucket of water on a step stool. Figured, what hell, better safe than sorry. All is good.
