I like it and the potential! It should fly with that 90. Welcome!

Working in a few maintenance projects and wondering if you had insight. New fuel lines- have you ever pulled a new one back from the tank to motor? I just tried a pull and it seems as if the line has been foamed in place... Hmmmpsh Also, any problems with the fuel pickup on the tank? I figure I have the tank accessable, just don't know if I want to jump into that potential can of worms. Thanks!

Hmmmpsh Also, any problems with the fuel pickup on the tank? I figure I have the tank accessable, just don't know if I want to jump into that potential can of worms. Thanks! Sorry for not seeing your post until the end of this season! I replaced the entire fuel system from the tank to the motor about a year and half ago, including the sender, pickup, anti-siphon valve, and lines. I also added a water separator in the bilge. My boat sat for years after the motor blew and all of those components were original, so I replaced everything before running fuel through to my new (used) outboard. The gasket under the sender was disintegrating, the pickup and antisiphon were heavily corroded and the lines were not designed to handle ethanol fuel so were brittle and falling apart from the inside. I love having a water separator with plastic bowl so I can visually check the look of the fuel from time to time. I would absolutely replace the pickup and valve before they corrode and fail - it's $15 in parts and maybe 15 minutes to replace if you already have the center hatch out. You're right, the fuel line appears to be foamed in. I could not get it out, so just cut what I could off and left the rest in. That also means you have to find a new route for the new line. I spent at least half a day trying to push/pull the new line from the tank along the starboard stringer or through the tube where the wires run back to the bilge. There was no space. Eventually, I discovered that there is a space between the top of the bulkhead aft of the tank and the underside of the deck that is plenty big enough for the new line to run, straight back into the bilge where it connects to the filter and then on to the fitting in the motor splashwell (the other side of that fitting is topside and has the final length of hose with the primer bulb). It's worked fine for two seasons. if I had known to run it that way from the start, the whole project would have taken an hour. Hopefully this helps you. Feel free to ask any other questions.
