A month and half ago we hit something in the channel heading out of Rock landing. Bent the prop , skeg , prop shaft and broke the housing. Thank god for insurance. The lower unit is backordered of course. Now the reason for being a little aggravating. Boats been at Wefings (dealer we bought it from) since it happened. I posted a while back about the hull discoloration and gel coat popping off of gunnels. The service manager also found shipping strap marks in the gel coat that I never saw. Also said it looked it was a failed repair from Sea Pro on one of the spots. I told them while it’s there to just have SeaPro rep come and look at it and certify that the spots won’t be an issue in the future. Sea Pro hasn’t returned their calls for 2 weeks. Doesn’t instill confidence with me in either party. If anyone has a decently priced aluminum boat let me know!! Driving me nuts doing yard work every weekend.

Sorry to here that, have you posted on "the next wave" facebook page?, I believe someone at the factory moderates that.

We don’t do Facebook. I’m not a very patient man but it’s teaching me to be. Once I get a nice little aluminum boat I’ll be more patient. 🙄 I’ve owned boats for 25 years but this one is kicking my old ass.

I recently purchased a 2021 228. I had a few questions - I went to the seapro website and found the sales rep and emailed him (I believe his last name was Youngblood). He responded to my emails within an appropriate amount of time. That might be a better way to go.

It was cleared up although my dealership isn’t happy with them. I’ve talked to them about the rod holders and they said you can’t put them any further up front. I changed the cup holders near the rod boxes out for stainless cup/rod holders. Also added 2 on rear corners of the boat. Read the “bow to stern” warranty carefully, there are a few things they won’t cover even though you think they would. My rod locker gaskets came torn up (both of them) they wouldn’t cover them. Made the dealership cover them.
