Hi I'm new to the forum. I have a 2004 sea pro 180cc with a 2005 yamaha 115. I have two kicker speakers that are marine grade and I think two 6" subs but I could be wrong and a amp. I don't know how much watts the amp puts out but I believe it has the power to power the speakers because when I turn up the volume it's louder than my car that has 2 12s. I also have a cheap stereo that is a dual. My question is how do I fix the problem of it cutting out when I hit a wave. It works fine when it's on the trailer or sitting still at the beach but when I'm underway it cuts out for no reason. I checked the ground on the amp and made sure all the connections are tight but that didn't seem to work. I also have two gel batteries but the system is only hooked up to the #1 battery and it has a fuse on it. Anyone know how to fix it?

Might be something loose in your head unit?? Maybe a circuit board or a cracked solder joint on the board?

I had the same problem with my GPS that was piggybacked on a switch on the console. Everything's great and tight and then I'd hit a wave and bounce. GPS shut down and had to reboot.
I ran a wire directly to one of the house batteries and put a fuse and a toggle switch under the console so I could turn it off when not in use.
I don't have that problem anymore.

My gps is connected to my #2 acc. Switch and it never cuts out and when I turn my stereo off it still has power because when I look at my phone it says it's connect to the bluetooth and when I make a call it goes through the speakers.
I've been told to check my grounds but there all clean and tightened down. But I'll check my stereo wires.
