Hi everyone, I am in process of purchasing a 2003 sea boss 210cc. I am new to boating and want to ask you how is this boat perform for some stripper fishing and family fun? How is the ride? She has a 175hp Johnson on it with two batteries and trim tabs. She also have a plastic gas tank that I am not sure if I need to be worried about it!! Please advise...!

Hi Ash, That should be a fine boat as long as you inspect it or have it inspected. I have essentially the same hull. I used to fish for strippers when I was a young guy, but since I've been married I had to change my ways so I don't recommend it for family fun . Should you fish for stripers, that would be fine. The ride is fine and pretty dry. The 175 Johnson is loud, and sucks fuel bad (like 1 mpg bad), but pretty much bulletproof (again needs inspection). No worries on the tank, the aluminum ones are the troublemakers here. Without knowing your location and how you stripper fish, I would say if you do more fishing than driving to fish, you are ok. If you are driving to fish more than you are fishing, I'd look for a more fuel efficient motor.
