Has anybody removed the front center console seat backrest and cut out for a inset tackle Box? Plenty of room to use there and easily reinstall backrest.

If my onboard battery chargers weren't mounted to that wall, I'd put a storage unit there. I think there's a thread here where someone did it. Try a search.. I think it might have been posted by mosquito13.

Just be sure there's nothing keeping the door from fully opening. From my experiences, the door has to be wide open to allow the trays to slide out. That could be a pain with a side opening door especially in choppy waters.

I have a 2008 SV2100 and it has tackle storage there. No door at all. The back cushion hinges from the bottom and snaps closed at top. To access tackle trays I simply just pull down the back cushion - works great!
