Twice now after a short but hard run and after boat settles in neutral alarm sounds, no warning lights and idle a tad high. 1k rpm. Cycle ignition for restart and no alarm, idle normal. What will trigger alarm other than the obvious warning light issue? I think TPS is telling computer false readings. Cleaned throttle bores. Not sure how much resistance throttle shift/cables should have but they don't creep at all!

It's possible the ECM is sending a false alarm but I'd be surprised if that's it. I'd take it to a shop and hook it up to their analysis computer to get the right code. I'd bet it's cooling related (impeller, thermostat, blockage) but it could be a number of things. Over heating, Oil change alarm, low voltage, low oil pressure etc.

If PCM hasn't been replaced, this engine,'05, has 225hrs. Was told less than 300 when purchased.
I have changed t'stats, water pressure regulator and discovered by accident a intake manifold lower cooling line. Size of vaccum hose that was pinched. Corrected. Flushed but have not descaled.

That sounds like an impeller getting close to the end. Think about all the heat being generated during the hard run, and then when you go to idle, the fresh water coming in isn't enough to remove all of that heat. How does your engines pee stream look at idle?

New Suzuki factory w/p kit installed and less than 4 hr. run time on it. Stream is strong! No temp light on when this has occurred. Scratching head!
