I have a SV2100, model year 2006. I'm thinking about moving my trolling motor batteries from the center console to the forward center hatch. The batteries are Group 31 size so the 2 batteries will amount to 135 lbs in this forward compartment. Will this weight distribution have a significant impact on how the hull/boat operates? Has anyone done this? Good idea or bad idea?

I've got my TM batteries up front. I think it helps because I've got starting and house batteries in the back. Balance-wise, it's a net zero.
With the motor in the stern and much of the fuel load aft of amidships, I don't think your 2 batteries are going to make you bow-heavy.

130 lbs... at worst you'd have to tell a kid to sit in the back.

I wouldn't. You might try putting 135 lbs in the storage locker and seeing how it changes the ride.

Juan makes a good point. You may wish to move the batteries from the console and put them up front then take a ride to see how it feels before you go through 7 layers of hell actually mounting, securing and wiring all of this. Might save a lot of headaches if it doesn't feel right to you.
