I've decided my '05 SV1900 could use some trim tabs. Question is what size? Looking at Lenco or Bennet electrics, don't want to mess with running hydraulic lines and a pump/tank. What size is working for those who have them? Opinions, experiances or suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Wise decision. I have Lencos on both of my boats and wouldn't have another boat without them. The electric tabs aren't hard to install. Here's a chart that lists recommended sizes: www.lectrotab.com/order-guide/trim-tab-plate-sizing-chart-1.phpJust remember that size does matter with trim tabs. The more surface area, the more lift they provide. For boats 19' to 24' Lenco recommends the 12" x 12" tabs. I'd get the 12" x 12" tabs with the standard trim switch. The one with the LED lights displays the tab position but you don't need the lights.

Let us know what you end up with and take some pics during install. Tabs are on my winter wish list.

Thanks Juan, great info there. Not looking forward to the installation, not much access to that area, one of the primary reasons for the electric tabs. Bftmaster, gotcha, I'll be reworking the transom, lifting eyes, boarding ladder and now tabs. Need to get it done soon, getting to old and stiff for the upside down thru an itty bitty hole work. Have a good weekend guys.
