Just installed a ladder on the transom of my 190DC Sea pro. I also made a Youtube video to document how I went about completing the job. Check it out. Let me know if you agree with my methods or not.

Looks good, nice touch with the video I'm sure that will be useful to people.

Thanks Gnrphil, this past weekend I was able to get up to full torque on the 1/4-20 bolts used on this project. I didn't mention this in the video because I did not have the correct hex socket set needed. The torque for stainless 1/4-20 thread is about 65-70 in-lb. according to my sources. I had no trouble at all reaching this value. I'll also mention that the toggle nuts have a cross section that resembles a c channel. My engineering background could not help but notice that this is likely stronger than a flat washer that one would use if they did have access to the back of the bolt. Just a little bit more peace of mind for me about the strength of the joint. The only thing I will be worried about is vibration loosening the bolt over time. The only way to combat this is to use loctite which I did not do.

I'd be hesitant to use lock tight as you may wish to remove it at some point, you also used 3M 5200 so I doubt it's going anywhere any time soon.
