OK, I'll admit this is one of the more redneck/ghetto ideas I've had lately. The T-top I have has a blue Sunbrella top, in fair condition, and also a new spare black top. I hate black on a boat top, it seems like yet another way to further fry my addled brain. I'm thinking of putting a coat of white flex seal (think Phil Swift/Billy Mayes) over the black fabric, either with a roller or spray. Whatcha think?

That might work. I'd try it. What do you have to lose? I hate those frigging commercials and I refused to buy Flex Seal for a long time just because of the stupid commercials but I broke down and tried it and I have to say it's good stuff. I'm not crazy about their tape but I've used the clear and white spray on the bottom of my river boat where it's been run up on the rocks and it worked good. I also used a brush to paint the white seal around the bottom of my console in the Sea Pro and that looks great.

Ummmm interesting ideas, I can see it working. Juan, do you mean the caulking around the bottom of the console ?, mine is crap looking and i've been putting off digging it out.

Yep. Mine was covered in mildew and looked bad. I tried everything to clean it and couldn't remove the stain so used a small paint brush and white Flex Seal to paint over it. Looks new again but just did it a couple weeks ago so not sure how long it will look that way.

Heck, my front cooler cushion is covered in flex seal. I agree it's good stuff, but I won't saw my boat in half to prove it...

I had the idea of coating one of those wire cooler baskets in Flexseal. Basket came with our RTIC cooler. I stripped the failing factory rubber off, degreased it and coated it with multiple coats of white Flexseal. Didn't hold up any better...

Well I've managed to clean up my blue top to the point it looks a whole lot better than I thought it could so I had it re-sewn and put it on. If I have to use the new black one at some point I may revive the idea. Thanks for the thoughts and comments Gents.
