Hi y,all. I am guessing what the issue is but hoping you a gentler response. Fillies up tank today and crazy smell of gasoline. Also from under center consule. I guess maybe fill hose issue leak.
All comments are welcome.

Hi Tom. Worst case would be a leaking fuel tank, second worst would be a leaking filler or vent hose. If you're lucky, it could be nothing more than a loose hose clamp or even luckier, you put the fuel into a rod holder like I once did.

Sorry to hear that Tom, I would go ahead and purchase new filler and vent hoses as you'll need them if you do need a new tank. Ask around your local boat shops if they can do a pressure test on the tank or make your own. Remove the fill and vent hose from the tank and and block them off, jack the front of the boat up and flush out the hull as best you can, once drained install drain plug and wait over night, if it's dry crank the bow down so the fuel runs to the front of the tank and wait again over night then jack it up again and see if any fuel runs to the bilge. That's how I found my leaking tank and confirmed with a pressure test after replacing the fill and vent hose. Good luck.

Ok guys. Drained a small amount of gas out of the bilge. Rinsed with warm water and dawn last night. Bilge was dry today and only a slight smell of fumes. But any smell makes me nervous. I lowered the bow tonight and rinsed with dawn and water and drained again . It is sitting tilted bow up now to drain and will let dry again.
Will update tomorrow. Thanks for input. I shall return.

Leaking sending unit. Don’t know if this should happen, had boat tilted up real good from Dec. 31 to April. Guess maybe gasket saw it’s life. Any way, new gasket and sender (why not, my knuckles we looking too good) this morning. Will revert on results.

Great. Easiest fuel issue to fix except maybe the rod holder.
