Very nice and welcome aboard, is that a 5" extension on a 25" outboard thus making it 30" ?

Very nice and welcome aboard, is that a 5" extension on a 25" outboard thus making it 30" ? Thank you! I’m not sure about a 5” extension? The hull is said to be 23.5’. LOA: 26’ (without outboard) LOA: 28.5’ (with outboard)

I think he was referring to the length of the motor's lower unit. It looks like an extension has been added to make it longer. Welcome to the forum. Nice boat!

Yes referring to the outboard shaft length.

Oh yes you are correct, the outboard has an extension on it.
Thanks I really like this boat. It’s going to work well for me and the family.

I'm surprised it has an extension with the bracket, interested to see how she does.

I'm surprised it has an extension with the bracket, interested to see how she does. I curious about this comment? I have only owned larger twin stern drive boats. That being said, I’m not sure what to expect with how this boat will perform. I’m not sure what the potential is with a bracket and a shaft extension. Are you interested in providing some insight? So far it seems to plane out ok, but doesn’t seem to get fully on step without trimming the outboard up about 50% of the gauge range. It’s possible I should be posting this type of question in a different section of this forum. Let me know what you think. Thanks

I'll take a stab at this: Mounted on the bracket the motor sits lower on the transom than it would otherwise thus with the extension one would think the anti cavation plate would be too low but if the plate is skimmingvthe top of the water when the boat is on plane (without using the trim tabs) then it's where it should be but if you need 50% trim then I suspect you may need to raise the motor a hole or two. What hole is it in now?

What hole is it in now? I still have two more holes that I can raise the motor. I’ll take some measurements for where the anti cavitation plate is in relation to the keel and post up here.
