Very Nice and looks to be rigged for fishing. Not being familiar with Great Lakes boats, I have to ask: What's that pole thing with what looks to me like two outrigger reels sticking up on the bow used for?

It is the mast for “big boards.” You run the big boards out each side. You then set a trolling rod to the desired lead, then clip it on the tow line with a sliding clip. Let it slide out into place, then add another rod and so on. Can get 6 or so lines out on each side. When a fish is caught, it pulls free of the clip and falls back out of line and is able to be brought in. Ohio allows three lines per person on Lake Erie, so with 3 or 4 guys the big boards come in handy.

Thanks for that. Interesting. You guys have an entirely different kind of trolling up there compared to down here. I know outriggers and downriggers, but this is the first time I've seen those. Next time you use them post some pictures if you have time.

It is always interesting to see different ways of fishing in different parts of the country. It seems like some things just work better in some areas than they do in others.
