I took a trip last week. Normally I am fishing by myself but I had my brother and my nephew with me.
The scuppers seemed to be letting in a good bit of water and it was sloshing around on the floor. It did depend on where people were positioned on the boat and also the direction the waves hit the boat when fishing. Like it is supposed to the water drained when I was running the engine.
I also noted that there were a few gallons of water in the bilge after fishing 8 hours or so. I am not sure if this is related and I have no idea where the water in the bilge came from.
I guess it all has to do with where people are situated on the boat with the water coming in the scuppers but it is annoying.
Has anyone made scupper plugs to keep water from coming in through the scuppers?
Anyone have any ideas where I may be picking up the other water in the hull?

I'd be guessing how the water got into the bilge. Does it happen when there's no additional weight or people toward the stern and no water on the deck? You could plug the scupper outlets with rubber kayak plugs. That will keep the water off the deck but if there's a leak where the scuppers connect, you'll get even more water in the bilge.

Kind of what I was guessing. The scupper holes look pretty big on this boat. There is always water coming in when I back off the trailer but never seen that much water in the bilge. It is something that I will keep an eye on because it was a hard day of fishing with extra weight in the boat. When we started it was very rough with a cross chop and confused seas. I didn’t take any water over the bow but I sure got some spray.
