I have purchased a 238CC that has been sitting for 2 years. The freshwater tank is full and I have installed a new pump. Pump runs but cant get water to flow from tank to pump. I have used a shop vac to try and pull water out at pump, no luck. I have put compressed air into line going from pump back to tank, no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

Idk, could there be a shut off valve somewhere between the pump and tank?

I have opened the inspection plate at the tank I can't see or feel one. Consodering using Drano, do you know if there is a product to use that wouldnt be as harsh?

I think Drano gets hot. If that's true, then it might damage the tank or hoses so I don't think I'd try any kind of drain cleaner in a freshwater tank. If you can get to the hose, I'd try running something inside the hose in an effort to hit the blockage. I'm guessing the problem isn't a blockage. Did you get any air in the tank when you put compressed air into the hose?

I could hear the hose jumping in the bottom of the boat. Had the fill lid to the tank off and a friend listening for bubbleing, never heard any.

Did the shop vac collapse the hose or just suck air without restriction? Can you connect a garden hose to the discharge hose and back flush the line to the tank?

Shop vac collapsed hose. I havent attempted to put water through the system backwards, but I did put 125 PSI of air from a compressor. I dont think I can put that much pressure on line with a garden hose.

I agree, water hose probably won't help but I think I'd try anyway. Can you get to the hose at both the tank and pump?

Pump end, easily. Tank end not sure. I still have a little research to do there. Tried runnig my arm up into inspection hole and got shredded by fiberglass, got pissed and called it a day.

Can you run a snake through it? Also you can get these borescopes for about 35 bucks on amazon and it just wireless to your phone. I have one and use it for a lot of things. It has a pretty good picture surprisingly better than some of the older expensive models we have at work lol.

Found the issue this weekend. An aluminum 90 at the pick-up tube had stopped up, calcium buildup. Changed out to new parts and flushed system out with a treatment from West. Good as new.
