Has any experienced issues with the Suzuki Engine Control Panel Start/Stop Switch? I have a 2019 248 with a Suzuki 300.
We were out cruising with the family when the motor shut off unexpectedly. Started back up, ran for a few minutes that cut out again. Did this about 4 more times. The last time it did it I just idle back to the marina at 1700 rpm. Engine didn’t cut out while at this rpm.
Got back to the marina (thankfully) and started diagnosing. Initially I thought maybe it was the ignition switch but, as I dug into it more I started to realize the engine control panel start/stop switch was acting weird.
The switch would sometimes not turn the engine on or would it shut if off. Sometimes it worked fine. Than a few times it would turn the engine on after 10-15 seconds after I hit the start button. One time it started as soon as I turned the ignition switch.
I’m thinking the problem is this switch. Thoughts? Of course we are on vacation in GA 10 hours from home…

I have a 2019 228 with a Suz 175. After several issues with the Suzuki electronics ( multiple alarms at once, motor shutting down, running out of fuel, etc) I had them swapped out with old school tach, fuel gauge, etc. I have not had one issue since. The dealer did it for us for very little money. I know of another boat, also a 2019 that did that same thing. Switching out the digital Suzuki electronics fixed his issues as well. Hope this helps.
Tight lines.
