I am having trouble refueling my sea pro 208. Fuel keeps spitting back out. It used to work but now it doesn't. Can anyone help?extra fuel used to come out of the vent when full. Now just fumes and it won't fill up. I've tried all sorts of fuel nozzle angles but nothing seems to help. Thanks

Maybe a mud dauber nest in the fuel vent?

That would be my guess is a clogged fuel vent or pinched fuel vent hose.

Same thought here. If your vent looks like the one below, you can unscrew the cap and see if there's something blocking it at that end. Mud daubers, spiders, and other little pests love to nest in little nooks & crannies like that.

Yeah I tried unscrewing the fuel vent cap. It seems like it doesn't want to come off and the whole pipe attached to it is turning. I probed around inside the best I could but I couldn't get too far into it. And I didn't want to break the vent cap. I have a sea Pro 208

I can use a small siphon hose and gas will still go in. But the pump at the gas station is impossible

The sailor rank is just a title that comes with the number of posts you have. It changes with post count. Sounds like you might have a kink in your fuel filler line. Has it always done this or is it a recent thing?

Most models have an access hole right behind the fuel fill hose where you can inspect the lines. You can remove the vent while you are in there and see if you can easily blow air through it. If not, replace it.

If I'm not mistaken you would have that new fancy EPA compliant fuel system with the canister vent, not sure how all that works but might be a problem with the canister.
