2001 Sea Pro 190 DC interior wiring / lighting question...

Recently purchased a 2001 Sea Pro 190 DC and I am fixing up a few things on the boat. I can't figure out what this wire is for. There is a thick two lead black wire coming through a hole under the interiror light on the Port Side. Right now I pulled it through the hole for the interior light but it goes through the hole under the interior light. There is no hole in the same place on the Starbord Side.



Any ideas on what went in this hole?

Any evidence that batteries are/were in the console? Could it be a wire to serve a charger?

I have that type of connector on my boat, and it connects to an onboard battery charger.
