krisis7, another good day on the water!!!! WOW!!! what fun. When you seem to be the only one on the Ocean and see a container ship there is something special about it. That is a good catch too. You seem to be the only one on this site that is catching fish. Maybe everyone else is keeping quiet about it. ED

Here is my rig that day taken by a friend. We had just finished deepdropping. Notice no Bimini top that day, hoping to install a t-top soon.

Krisis, Those spanish fillets will be fine on the grill! How do the tile fish eat? I have never caught any for I don't usually go out far enough to get in enough water (25 miles out of Dauphin Island will only put you in 110 ft. of water). Disregard my question on the other thread. Should have read this one first!

krisis7, How far do you have to go out to get to 100' and how far do you go out when you are catching. I take it most of it is trolling, but whatever it is it must work for you. I have been out 15 miles out of Fernandina Beach, Florida and it only about 40' at the most. I went to Marathon, Florida last year and it was 100' at 3 miles and i fished from there to 200' and zigzagged back and forth. Caught lots of fish but no bragging ones. ED

Tilefish in 700 feet, 14 miles off. 7 miles off 150 ft.
You really need to try Golden Tilefish, It will rival almost any fish in the Sea. Come on down to my annual Pig Roast on Dec 13, I cook some up for you special...
