If you haven't watched the videos in the ad above, you should. I can't believe how much the beds move on all of them. Looks as if they might come apart. I like the part of the guy from "Dirty Jobs" being in this ad. ED

I just watched it. I had to turn off ad block to find the link. The frame on any pickup has to flex some. I have drove a 2009 F150 and it does feel very solid. The Toyota looked like it was going to fall apart. Ford still builds the best truck platform. Now if we can get a diesel F150 and Ranger we will have something.

I agree with the diesel and would buy one and it would be great if they would make them as a strong engine rather than the way they did with the Chevy a few years back and made it with the 350 block and it was too weak. I talked my son into buying a van and after spending several thousand bucks on it we let it set in the yard for several years now. Cost too much to fix, to even keep, but my son keeps thinking he will fix it. I did think the Toyota was going to come apart also and am going to show it to my son in law as he is thinking about replacing his Chevy with a Tundra. I had a Ranger before I bought the F-150 and would not go back to another one, too small for my taste. ED

Yea, I have thought about that for years. Why doesn't Ford build a smaller (I-6 or V-6) diesel for the half ton pick-up truck. I love my F-250 but if they offered the benefits of a diesel in a smaller package with the resulting fuel mileage & maintenance cost savings, I would be all over that!

Ford has plans for putting a 4.4 V8 Diesel in the F150. There is a holding pattern on it right now because of fuel prices.
