I am currently running a 2007 model SV1900 with a 115 merc 4 stroke and am curious as to what prop I should be running? I currently have the vengeance stainless prop on the boat in 14p. The boat came from the dealer with this prop and ran great. I was running around 58-5900 rpm at WOT and was hitting 40-43 mph and was happy about that. Over time my prop became damaged from oysters and sand and needed replaced due to rpms being to high. I replaced it with the exact same prop, but at the same time had significant damage to my fuel system. After about 6 months of fighting the fuel issue I ended up getting it figured out (injectors). After the fuel issue was resolved the engine is now over speeding again. Basically running 6400 at wot and only about 36. I replaced the hub assembly with the prop as well. I'm thinking I might need another prop, but am questionable on this. Should I move to a 15p prop, or stay with the 14? What props are you guys running on this model boat? Could I have other issues that isn't the prop? I appreciate any help you can give.
