:)My son and daughter had a good time on West Point lake in Georgia on Friday December 19th. We trolled with Rattle traps and run into a school of stripers, hooked four at one time and lost one and caught three. also caught two spotted bass. Sorry, but when there is a Chinese fire drill, there was no time for pictures and forgot to take pictures later. sure are going to have a big fish fry in a couple of days when all the kids and grandkids get here. HAPPY FISHING & MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! ED

Went two times more with the grandkids and total for three days we caught 28 fish, one striper, ten Hybrids, and the rest spotted bass. We did have a big fish fry one night and I can't believe the way they ate them, fried about twenty pounds of fish and it was gone in one meal. Four big deep friers full. I have a big fish frier and sure need one around that bunch, I sure know why my daughter gave it to me. MMMMMM GOOOOD!!! ED

I was trolling dragging eight rods with rattle traps on Lake West Point and as we were going past a bassboat my son said that they were making fun of us trolling like that, but they shut their mouths when just as we went by we caught two really nice hybrids. Poetic Justice!!!!! ED

Trolling is hard to beat! I have learned to appreciate it more and more the older and lazier I get! Sounds like y'all are getting it done here lately. Good deal!

You can cover the most water by trolling and when you find fish you can always stop and cast. I found that fish sit with their nose to the wind and always go upwind and troll back. I was telling my Daughter and she said " Why aren't we doing it then" and we crossed the lake and trolled with the wind and we caught a good mess after we did it. That was several years ago and I use going with the wind all the time now. ED

My Daughter and I went to West Point today and we didn't do all that good, caught one Big Hybrid, one spotted Bass and lost the biggest one and threw one back. The wind did not help us at all as it kept changing course. As I was getting ready to back down the ramp to load a guy pulled back around and I thought he was going to launch so I ask him and then he asked me if I wanted some crappie and since I love free stuff I said yes and he even put the ten of them in my live well. One of those was 15 inches long, Nice 'un. I did come home and dress them out. Many a good meal out of them.<)>(((((< ED
