I just acquired a 1997 Sea-Pro 235WA I/O the motor is shot, the boat is in great shape. I am going to repower the vessel; it is my understanding that the rating for this boat is 205 HP. That seems a bit under powered to me I am considering repowering with a MerCisuer 220HP or a 250 HP, any thoughts on this.

glass in the transom, hang an outboard bracket on the back with a 250. Convert the motor well into a huge fish box for all the fish that you catch.

Or a pair of 150 Optimax! I like the idea of redundant power, especially when going far offshore.
