Ok ... after replacing the ignition key wiring and rechecking many things, I discovered that the warning lights on my 2004 Sea Pro 180DC (2004 Johnson 90) are going off because of bad connections between the harness and the tachometer -- actually the connections between the harness and the tachometer.
Since there is no easy way that I can see to get in the tachometer, I want to make sure I get the correct replacement tachometer for the boat/engine. I think it is a Teleflex Lido but I'm not positive. Does anyone know?
Also, thought I might add a trim guage while I'm at it. I believe the trim guage wires are near the throttle since that's where the up/down button lives. Any guidance on that would be appreciated also.

Her are the guages I used.
Tach, Teleflex Lido Series with system check
Just replaced what was there with same. Have to be aware of cable connection/harness connector.
Trim guage, Teleflex Lido Series.
I remember hooking up an ignition wire (12V pos red) a ground wire (12V neg black) and a sending wire. (do not remember color) I located the wiring harness coming from engine to the controls and the trim guage wiring was there still coiled up and marked. I also used a blue wire for the guage lamp.
My engine is a 2001 Johnson 2 stroke. So not totally sure if they are the same wiring scheme.
I did searches on line with key words and was able to find all sorts of info on wiring and guages.

Thanks! I'm going to have to go a-seachin' for that sender wire.
