I followed woody's advice, and jumped the wires at the switch. This way I could isolate the switch and rule out a short or bad wire as Wezel suggested. It was the switch, it has since been replaced, and life is good again. Hey Freezer...where did you find the switch at? The trim switch on the gear shifter is sticking and I can't find a replacement anywhere!

Thanks for the quick reply, Freezer. Unfortunately, it seems it's more of a sea pro part than a johnson/evinrude part. Atleast according to every parts guide I look through because I can't locate it anywhere. The actual tilt/trim relay that goes on the motor is listed, but the switch that is on the gear shift lever is not. Hmm....
