Hey Guys,
I just joined up to hopefully learn more about Sea Pro boats. I have never owned a boat before but recently just moved to Gainesville Florida from Wisconsin so I am looking to capitalize on the year round boating/fishing opportunities. I have done a lot of looking and I really think that a Sea Pro SV 2100 would be perfect for me and my family. I have four kids and I want to be able to enjoy boating and cruising, but also a boat that can focus on fishing. I would like to fish flats and shallow water with the opportunity to head to deeper water as well. So all that said, am I looking to the right model of boats? If so, how do I find one? Not too many around from my limited looking so far.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Nathan

Welcome Nathan as a prospective owner. I don't think you'd go wrong with the model you've mentioned. Lots of guys on this forum have them and love them. I think you'll be able to find one with some work and patience. Search Craigslist anywhere within a reasonable distance. One will come up. Check back here frequently. Members post links to boats for sale all the time. They just want other folks to experience the joy of owning a Sea Pro.
Tight Lines,

SV2100CC or SV2400CC would be a great boat for that activity. I have owned both and they both are great boats.

Welcome aboard Nathan.. If you can find a 2100 you like at the right price, I think you'll love it. The 03 in Spring Hill looks good. I think Spring Hill is probably 250 - 300 miles south of Gainesville. I'm about 200 miles north, so if you get up this way, and want to take a ride in one, give me a shout.

So I found one and took a ride to look at it. I really liked it but one thing I have noticed is that the storage compartments don't have any seals on them. Is this an upgrade a guy can do? Seems like things could get wet. Thoughts?
I am convinced the whole family could fish comfortably out of it, which is huge to us.
Thanks for the info and welcome

I'm not sure about those models but on my 220cc the storage is designed so water runs of the lid and drains around the recess and away, therefore not into the compartment. you could use some universal car door seal if it made you feel better.

The 2100s are built the same way... they aren't sealed but the water doesn't get in.. You could seal them with door insulation strips. I did it just to keep the noise down if someone slammed the lid closed.
