Just found this forum... Glad to know there is support out there for Sea pro owners. I have a 2001 SV2100. Question for you guys. I am thinking of replacing the original plastic rod holders on the center console with stainless (or aluminum) Any recommendations on brands, where to buy, and what degree of angle this boat has (I think is it 30 degrees, but looking for confirmation)
Thanks for the help

Welcome aboard windsurfor. beerchug There have been a few of us wanting to do the same thing you want to and you'll find threads on the subject if you do a search. I can tell you that you can find the stainless steel rod holders at West Marine, T&H Marine, even WalMart.. The problem you're going to have is finding some that have mounting holes that match the originals. I haven't found any yet and don't know of anyone else who has. I actually bought 6 new stainless steel holders that I thought were close but ended up sending them back. It can be done but be prepared to fill in the original screw holes and then drilling out new ones to get the stainless steel holders to fit.

Thanks for the responses guys. (sorry, it took a little while to get back on the board, been a little busy with work) Juan, you are probably right, the holes will never line up with anything. I always seems to work out that way right?
Another question if you don't mind. The previous owner had a trolling motor mounted on the bow, now I am left with six pretty good size holes up there for water to get into. any recommendations on what to fill them with? Bondo? I would like to do a gel coat repair, but man that stuff is Expensive just for 4oz.

They make an epoxy stick for marine use that's perfect for filling holes like that. Just break off what you need, knead it until it's mixed well, fill the holes then use a little touch up paint to match the color. The epoxy is hard as a rock in about 10 minutes and dries to a white color. You can get a stick for about $13. in the marine section at any Wal Mart and it goes a long way.

Rick, Were these what you bought ( www.ebay.com/itm/30-Degree-Cast-Rod-Holder-Set-of-6-Stainless-Steel-/110613382731?pt=Boat_Parts_Accessories_Gear&hash=item19c112464b&vxp=mtr)? $108.00 + FREE shipping. Were the holes off or what? I plan to buy a set (the 180cc has them in the back) to replace the cheesy white Attwood rod holders if the holes line up close enough.

That looks exactly like the ones I bought Ross... I don't remember who made them since I bought them though Amazon and sent them back when they didn't fit. I had planned to do the same thing... replace the cheesy white sun faded ones on the console.. but the mounting holes didn't even come close to matching the OEM ones and I didn't want to fill the old holes in and drill new ones. If you find ANY stainless steel holders that fit..please let me know.

Darn - I was planning to buy these.
Rick - are you sure these were the one that didn't line up?

Nope, Not sure at all.. All I can say is they looked like that (but most look like that). I was thinking that the wife ordered them through Amazon but she says she bought them at West Marine. I really can't say which ones they were but they didn't fit and I couldn't find any that had the mounting holes spaced differently.

Are the rod holders on the console 30 degree? For some reason I was thinking they were 15 degree. My friend.....quite honestly.....they may not even make a15 degree. I picked up my replacements at walmart. I just thought that was what they said on them

(mine are 30 on my console) You found replacements at Wally World that fit? Are they the stainless steel or plastic? The local WalMart sells Attwood and I haven't found any that would match the original mounting holes... Bought a couple of the flush mount 30 degree black plastic ones and an external mount white one yesterday from WalMart and mounted them in the bass boat.. They work well for new installs, just not for replacing the OEM ones in the Sea Pro.

Question. Unless, the new drill holes are so close to old ones that they would create a wallowed put hole. If that were the case then you could just get a bolt with a back washer since you should be able to access it in center console. That was the case with the ones I bought and at a cost of $140 for 6, I thought they should fit right and I wasn't about to jury rig.

Just measured the 6 rod holders in the back side of my 180cc, and they are 20 degrees .... not 15 or 30 ... guess I'll try a set of 15s and the rids will tile out a bit.

You could probably find Jimmy Hoffa before you find 20 degree rod holders. 021

No, I found 6 - and they all faded white and mounted to my boat. Probably made in China where they can measure.... I thought Hoffa was under the 50 year line at Shea Stadium? These are 20-degree...
