I have a 2004 seapro 220 cc with a 225 4 stroke Johnson...the last couple weekends I took it out it randomly just shuts off like it just gives out of gas and then takes five to fiveteen to get it going again....once I get it cranked back up it runs like a new one and may not shut off again the rest of the weekend ....I noticed when it shuts off its almost like it looses prim..the prime ball feels empty... If I keep messing with prime ball you can start feeling gas gurgle in slowly and never get fully hard and it will crank back up and not miss a beat...any suggestions.... I replaced fuel water seperater last week and didn't help any...

Could be a problem with the anti siphon valve or the ball itself.

Could be a problem with the anti siphon valve or the ball itself. . I checked the anti siphon valve and it seemed fine....after putting everything back together I pulled fuel hose off from motor and tried to pump into jar using prime bulb and only pumped a cup and it just stopped pumping....prime build is only one year old....when I took it off it will pump water out of a cup..just not fuel all the way from the fuel cell

Is the primer bulb strong enough to suck fuel through anti siphon valve without the help of a fuel pump

Yes it should be, when it stops does the primer ball go flat ?

Yes it should be, when it stops does the primer ball go flat ? . Yes its stays flat most of the time or its very slow to inflate back..and after you quit pumping it it seems to still be pulling a slight vaccum....tried it with the gas cap open and still sometimes had a slight vacuum on it....maybe I should go ahead and replace the bulb and the anti siphon valve and see what happens.....

I would do that and the line going to the tank, it may be collapsing or breaking up inside.
