I don't have a recirculating live well so I've been using an aerator to keep my shrimps alive. Problem is that it's mounted underneath the rear fishing deck next to the batteries. I think water is getting into that locker via the 4 rod holders that pass through the deck above. I've burned out 2 pumps in 3 years because they got wet, I think. I decided to try mounting it to the underside of the fishing deck upside down (on the ceiling instead of the floor). Y'all think that would work better?

That's where mine is. Use really short screws.

Glad to hear that our newest Admiral has a similar arrangement. I appropriated a plastic cutting board from the kitchen and mounted the pump to it. Then I glued rubber nubbers to the top and mounted that to the underside of the deck. This should both take up some screw length and limit vibration. At least that's my rationale.
