I am looking at a 2004 sea pro with a 150 yamaha 4 stroke 300 hours . looks well maintained any conserns ? What model? I wouldn't be worried about the boat but would be very concerned about the Yamaha 4 stroke with 300 hours unless the balancer assembly has been replaced with the new model. The balance assembly on the 04s is made of a composite material that WILL fail and when it does you're looking at a very expensive repair (if it's even repairable at that point).. My 04 Yamaha F150 failed at just over 300 hours and would have taken a new power head to repair... You can almost buy a brand new motor for the cost of the repair.. BUT...if the assembly has been replaced before it failed, you should be fine.. if it hasn't, I'd have it replaced (costs about $400.)

New to the forum. 04 238 SeaPro anything I should know about this boat?? Thanks Welcome aboard, first thing you need to do is keep it locked up, blue is my favourite colour and damm she looks nice. On some boats the side drains through the stringers in the bilge get blocked during manufacture and water builds up between the hull and stringer, other than that there's not really anything to warn you of. She looks good with the new lettering on, Congrats.
