Dayumn!! That left a mark. Yep, you're going to need a new lower unit. No way to put a Band-Aid on that! Sorry. You might be able to find a used one: Lower Unit

I decided to file a claim with my insurance (Progressive). They have opted to replace the outdrive. The new one is being ordered today. Hopefully I will be back on the water soon.

Wow, I've seen props and lower skegs gone, but never seen the output shaft section completely removed. I guess you were going at a pretty good clip! New lower unit is definitely the way to go!

I actually wasn't going all that fast, must have just caught it right. New lower unit has been installed and I'm back in business. And yes, the location is marked on my GPS.
