So I just got my sea pro 248 the other bay and I love it. It’s an amazing boat with tons of room and storage. My question is has anyone had any trouble with water coming into the floor of the boat through the drain for the free flow. With 4 people in the bait it has been about two to three inches deep. It’s a lot of water. I wish I knew how to post a pic. I really hope this is an easy fix.

I think you're referring to the new 248, there's a check valve either in or before/after the manifold drain system. I believe they've been having some trouble with said valve getting clogged up with debris thus allowing water to flow back to the deck. Don't know about a fix at this point, check with your dealer and the factory, I've certainly read another owner had the same issue somewhere.

Nice catch Phil... I should have noticed the model wasn't a classic. Do the new ones even have scuppers? notworthy

So I checked the flapper valve at the back of the boat and it’s not the tightest of seals out of the water but I think it would be ok once u put it in the water the water. only other thing I can think of would be the the live wells use the same port as the flow through. Maybe they are running over to the floor. The only reason I’m asking all of this is the dealer I got the boat from is not the friendliest person and I want to give his some info on what has happened to other people because I don’t think he will take to much initiative to do much of anything and I don’t want to have to argue with him

Like I said there's a check valve in there to stop back flow, it's not the rubber flap. Yeah those check valves are very sensitive to debris. A blade of grass can cause them to malfunction.

I don't know what's causing the issue but I'm curious. Does the water empty out when you're running and then come back in when you stop? Does it get to a certain level then stop or does it keep coming in? Does water only come in or come in faster when you run the livewell pump? Answers to those questions may help someone who knows the drain system on your boat diagnose it.

The water empties out when I am running and it only comes in when I am stopped. The more people I have in the boat the more water I get. That’s why I thought it had something to do with the flapper at the back of the boat. The only other thing that ties into the are the live wells. I’m not sure if the pick ups on the bottom of the boat are letting water in or not but it is very frustrating to have a new boat and have an issue like this

Also, the reason that you have water on the deck at rest is because the rear (the lowest portion) of your deck is below the water level outside the boat when you are at rest. Once on plane, you are above the water and it drains. You can play with your boat loading. Old school boat guys and drag racers move batteries and heavy items around to get the loading they want. Some manufacturers have been moving gas tanks to the bow section to aid in rough water ride.

Thanks everyone for the feed back. I spoke with sea pro and they said that there is an issue with the 2017 models but there is a fix per the manufacturer I’m not 100% on all of the details but I will post it as soon as I figure it out

Congrats on your new boat. Obviously you wanted a SeaPro and purchased thru a local dealer. I would caution anyone making this kind of investment to really get comfortable with the dealer you are buying from. You shouldn't feel hesitant to get them to trouble shoot. After all, you just bought a new boat! I'm an old SeaPro guy, so I can't help with your problem, but wish you the best. That much water doesn't look like fun.
