Yes, my bass boat. I just don't use it enough to justify buying the registration every year.

What sort of flooring is on the deck? Doesn't look like carpet.

Dura Bak non skid marine paint. It's far better than carpet imo. Won't stain, or rip and dries in minutes. I'm surprised you noticed.. It looks like carpet from a short distance away. BTW: I dropped the price but if I don't sell it by Spring time, I'll probably keep it.

Nice! I like it. The non ability to easily hose out a bass boat has always been a part I never liked.

SOLD! (I think).. I'm a bit nervous about how it sold... Had a guy call from Alaska wanting to buy the boat sight unseen... I thought sure it had to be a scam but he's sending a cashier's check via priority mail for the full amount, gave me his name and the name of relatives who live in Panama City, and email address then sent a picture of the cashier's check. The check should arrive Thursday so I'll feel better when it's in the bank. Says he's a guide and moving here from Alaska and will be using the boat to guide on Lake Okeechobee. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Aren't cashier's checks as good as cash?

?..... Aren't cashier's checks as good as cash? I thought they were but a quick Google search of cashier check scam reveals they are being used in scams. Google it and read up so you don't get duped.

Definitely a SCAM. I have sold several cars on Craigs List and every time I get these same offers.

Tell him to send you a selfie of himself, holding his drivers license with these words written in marker on his forehead. "No Scam"

Definitely a SCAM. I have sold several cars on Craigs List and every time I get these same offers. At this point, I'm not sure it is a scam and I'm 80% convinced it's for real.. He's called twice and they don't usually do that. I Googled his name and the Credit union where he bought the cashier's check and both seem to be legit. The Credit Union has a web site and their phone number matches the one on the cashier's check. I called the credit union and they answered the phone with the name of the credit union and confirmed that the check was purchased, the amount and the check's number was legit. I haven't called the phone number he gave me for his relatives who live in Panama City but the number is definitely a Panama City phone number. He said he won't be picking the boat up for 4 to 5 weeks so that should be plenty of time for the check to clear my bank. I won't be releasing the boat until it does. If it's a scam, it's an elaborate one. The check would have to be a fake and he would have had to create a web site for the credit union and hire several people to pretend to be employees. I still find it hard to believe anyone would buy a boat without first seeing it in person and I certainly wouldn't send someone I had only spoken to on the phone thousands of dollars and not even ask for a receipt..

In my experience these scams involve someone wanting to give you more than your asking and or extra for a transport company to pick it up, been through it a couple of times. You'll know if or when the check clears the bank.

You'll know if or when the check clears the bank. Yep, the check clearing is the important part. He called again today to ask a few more questions about the boat and just to talk. If he's a scam artist, he has me fooled.

I believe he is! The cashier's check arrived today and I immediately took it to the bank. They too said they thought it was legit and called the Credit Union where it was issued and got another verification. It takes 3 to 4 days for my bank to receive the money so just to be safe, I had a hold put on the check for a week.

Well that's over and she's gone. The buyer has to be the biggest free spirit I've ever met. He bought and paid for the boat sight unseen from Alaska, flew to Florida, bought an SUV and had a hitch installed, drove to Alabama and picked up the boat and then drove to central Florida where he intends to be a bass guide at Lake Okeechobee... and he still has to find a place to live there. Glad the buyer was legitimate and hope he's successful in his guiding service.
