I've got one at work. Later models are much simpler to fly/navigate/avoid obstacles. Pretty fun and great photography.

Cool. I have Phantom 3 Pro. Awesome video and the ability to control it with an app on my phone. What do you have at work?

We started with a Phantom II. It's a great piece of equipment, but the video control card failed twice and it's no longer produced. Built-in obsolescence. So, for another $1,300 we bought the Mavic Pro. It's sweet. I folds up and you can just about fit it in your pocket (cargo pocket). It has better flight duration, vastly improved avionics, it's faster, shoots better video (too good really) and is simpler to fly.
We use it mostly for marketing purposes, facility overflights, product expose, etc. Guides around here use them to spot tide lines and fish in the marsh. My boss told me to take it out with me. I said thanks, but no thanks. I'm not going to crash a $1,300 drone into the swamp or get it wet. I'll fish the old-fashioned way. I'll wait for the dumb ones to find me.

Cool. Yeah I have been eyeballing the Mavic. The price has come down some. But trying to justify to the accountant (wife) why I need another drone!!! I have thought about taking my P3P on my work boat with me. But I too am afraid I would lose signal or not be able to get it back on he boat as I am moving. And there she goes into the Atlantic Ocean. No way to explain that one when I come back empty handed!!!! Do you guys use the Litchi App?

You ever take them fishing? Was watching some salt strong video which led me to google some other footage. Even the low light videos were awesome. Someone good with a drone would beat out any towerboats view. Need to talk to the folks at Minn Kota about linking a drone to saved routes(autopilot). I would pay to be able to see a lot farther ahead and from a bit higher angle, maybe from 15-20'. But I will not put a tower on the boat, I would be hooking it every trip. But buying a drone , and being able to rationalize the expense to wife saying I needed it for fishing...

No Litchi app, but I may have to look into it. I'd put one on the boat if I could find one that was $100 or less that I wouldn't be devastated if it was lost or damaged.

Yeah I know the sell cheaper ones. But not sure how’s good of video they would have and I am sure it doesn’t compare to the DJI Drones!!!

I have a couple of inexpensive ones... still trying to master the art of flying before getting a better model.

I used to have one, much like Icharus, I flew too high and the prevailing winds up there were faster than the drone could get back. Never saw it again.

Let me know how it works for you! After you get it and set it up go dunk it in water and see if it still works. If it works I would be interested. Better than messing up my $800 drone!!!!

I think these are first gen. or second gen. Swellpros overstocks. Makes sense as that is what Gearfun does, sell limit quantities of cool shit inexpensively. Swellpro's are on third generation model now. Guessing that is why there is no brand mentioned by Gearfun, but if you zoom in on the pictures it show gen three, though the controler pictured is different . If so the the new Swellpro's sell for $1600, if not I am only out $155(ordered three extra batteries) www.swellpro.com/waterproof-splash-drone-3-auto.html

Good video. I can't get mine to stay in the air that long! Got any nude beaches in the area?

Now that is funny Juan!!! I don't know of any nude beaches around here. But i am sure there are some on private property some where. And if we did have some i am sure there would be big sign not allowing drones on the beach.

I'm sure an overflight would invite a visit from the FAA.
