I am trying to sell a coleman camper on Craigslist. In the last week was blown off by five people who said they wanted it and set up a time to pop it up and show. Wasted eazy 4 hours on that stupidness. So I am offering to show it to all who are interested in it from 3-6 PM on Wed.. Now I am getting lots of requests to see it early or people offering less $ to buy it now, sight unseen, though I did post up 9 pictures... Is everyone nuts that looks at craigslist? Had similar experience when I sold my single axle boat trailer, though the first person that actually came to look at it purchased it.

Yeah it's a nightmare, too many bullshiters and scammers calling when you're just trying to sell something.

Craigslist is crazy but it does work if you filter out the BS. I sold my bass boat sight unseen to a guy who called from Alaska so some of the fruitcakes are legit.

I haven't sold anything on CL. I did find a used engine that matched the one that failed on one of my lawn tractors. As that model has been out of production for some time, I don't think I would have found an exact replacement without the local CL marketplace. It was a smooth transaction with a very nice seller. I swapped the engines and now my lawn tractor works again. Thanks CL.

I sold my motorcycle and purchased my boat on CL, both were smooth transactions. I did have to wade through a lot of BS when selling.

Sold it for my asked price to the first person that looked at it...still way too much people wanting to waste time on it for my liking.

Anybody try Facebook Market Place? It seems if people call about an item there seems to be a better "actual show up in person" percentage. Here on I am posting a lot of pictures and write up. If anyone wants more they will have to speak in person. No more texting or emails. That will go for will go for text address, do so only after actually speaking .

I don't do "Facebook" (for reasons I won't get into) but I know some that do and I've heard good things about the market place. I've currently got three items listed on Craigslist and I've probably had a dozen texts in the last three days offering far less than they're listed for.. I hate Craigslist but it does work.

rofl Guilty, I'd buy it if I didn't already have one. They need to add "If you've ever yelled "War Eagle" to that first list.

War Eagle! I like a sparkling fruit drink every now and then.
