Ok, I love my 1900, I just wish it had more room to fish out of the back of it. I will never fish off of the front deck. I use it as one would use a "multi species" style deep vee boat from Ranger or Lund, but, I also take it to the coast, still fishing from the back. For me, the decks, front and rear, are only there for storage. My dad handles this by owning two boats, and 2100 and a Ranger Fisherman. Cant afford that!
If I had a magic wand, I would shrink the front deck and slide the console forward. Maybe even a dual console on the bay boat hull. The interior of the deeper boats are laid out this way, thats just a lot more boat to power and haul up and down the highway.
Comments, Ideas?
Thanks,

I usually fish the back because I’m the captain. However, sometimes when I’m running the trolling motor an I have to be up front, I’m feeling good because I’ve got the first crack at the fish. I really don’t think it matters.

I think it matters a lot. (At least from my experiences) I almost always fish from the front casting deck. That way, when inshore fishing (99.9% of the time) I've got the first shot at casting to the good spots, there's more room on the front casting deck, I'm closer to the trolling motor, trim switch and rod lockers and there's a pedestal seat to plop down in. Most of the time, ( not always) I'll catch close to 2 to 1 more fish than my buddies fishing from the back of the boat. (most prefer to fish from the deck rather than stand on the rear casting deck) There's plenty of room on the front deck and I always tell them they're welcome to join me on the front. I wouldn't change the layout of a 2100 a bit and after owning a couple of dual console bass boats in years past, I would never own another dual console unless it was on a pleasure boat designed for riding and not fishing. That second console looks good and is great for a passenger to hide behind but it gets in the way of everything.

Juan don't you have a second console on your tower? Seems live bait fishermen love the stern for fishing! I always dead stick a rod off the back, have caught some big fish that way. Troll off the stern... I put two talons on back so I could pin my bow on whatever I wish to cast at, but these suck when drop fishing on a reef. I have four flats programmed in my trolling motor , have had three of us on the bow casting when on them and on autopilot. Don't know any fly guys doing it off the stern. I think Catchersrock may have got the wrong hull for his usage . My neighbor has a Seapro 206 cuddy . Totally set up for stern fishing and family fun, with the bow for sunning and setting the anchor. He even has removable downriggers. Haven't been out on it, but we are planning a run with the spouses to Passage Key up in Tampa, With some time for trolling the shipping channel ledges for grouper in the float plan. Looks like a great boat, and truthfully, the idea of a cuddy cabin has its points. Seapro does sell a dually boats.iboats.com/research/sea-pro-boats-206-dc-dual-console-boat/238457.html

The layout of the 1900 is perfect for sneaky flats fishing or flipping docks or any other type of fishing like bass fishing. With the ulterra trolling motor it is a fishing machine and the very nose of the boat is a great casting platform. When I go out on the gulf bottom fishing I usually stand near my console somewhere on the floor of the boat, mostly for balance on the gulf and the larger creatures you may encounter, but my bimini is mounted on a rail so I can adjust forward or back for my shade and comfort and still bottom fish. I love the hull of these 2000 era bay boats they handle and ride very well. As far as trailering, I tow mine here at home in east Tennessee and also rip it to destin a couple times a year and with my diesel truck and the 1900 its awesome. I wrote a previous post about the new goodyear trailer tires made in usa look for it. The only other thing I will say about these bay boats is resale value is pretty good if one has been cared for. Curious to know what yours catchersrock does top end with the 150.

Thanks everyone. I do primarily live bait fish, strait down for stripers and cats, so I spend all of my time in the bottom of the boat.

That last pic is a good setup, but I see your point with the storage and seat being in the way at the stern. I love my 210cc, but trailering is a little more daunting than a bay boat. I just got 8mpg tugging mine back from AL.
