Hi Forum, looks like I be making my first trip to St George/Apalachicola in March '19.....I'll be leaving the Seapro home, but will be bringing a 16' side console Key West down with me. Does anyone have any local advise about fishing, boat ramps and/or possible dock space for a month? We'll be staying on St George.....Thanks in advance!!!

I usually launch in Apalach and run across the bay to fish St. George. There's a state park on St. George Island and hopefully it will be back to normal by March of 19 but it's closed right now due to hurricane damage. I don't know if they rent dock space on the island but Bay City Lodge in Apalach does. It's a motel/restaurant with dock rental, bait store, even has a marine mechanic on staff. I had a trip planned until the hurricane. Here's a link to state park's web site: www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/dr-julian-g-bruce-st-george-island-state-parkAs for the fishing, There's an oyster bar at St. George called "The Dry Bar" that normally holds trout and redfish, then there are wrecks and structure near that hold fish too but I prefer the Apalach side.
