FWC will mail waterproof charts to you . Does require registering to their site and then two business days for it to move through their system( it is a govt. organization) . Under the boating-navigation section sub section boating resources. I first learned about these at the Tampa Boat show. Nice charts with boat ramps marked. Great for checking out new areas. Wish they had them for fresh water... myfwc.com/license/boating-navigation/

I think I have maps of the entire coast of Florida and can't remember the last time I've actually looked at one. They've become almost obsolete since electronics and GPS charting. Florida Sportsman sells a nice Hot Spots waterproof map. Their magazine and forum suck but they do have good maps.

I never use them on the water. But have them on the walls of my office, for planning trips, picking best ramp to use for forecasted conditions, ect. On the water I keep appropriate chart in my orange emergency box if the helix ever fails along with a pocket orienteering compass, but I like to fish a lot of "new to me " water. I get a couple Fla Sportsmans sticker legal catch tapes each year. Mount one on bow and stern in a corner. Makes for trapping/footin'in place and photoing fish ezr. floridasportsmanstore.com/shop/florida-sportsman-law-sticker/
