Well, I fell for another scam. I've bought and sold a lot of stuff off Craigslist but I think I've been taken for the last time. I've been looking for a boat I could use for river fishing and as a back up to the Sea Pro. Thought I found the perfect fit in this 2008 Carolina Skiff so called, then drove 40 miles to check it out and the azzwipe didn't show up at the meeting location.. so I texted and asked for his address and he replied an hour after I got home with: When are you coming back to look at it? Not falling for it again. dothan.craigslist.org/boa/d/headland-2008-carolina-skiff/6944857929.html

Why do folks do that? I mean is there an angle to cheat someone or are they just being jerks?

Problem with texting . I always insist on actually speaking with buyers sellers after having a kid mess with me asking for pics , build details, ect. on a car i was selling. Get no feeling if they are legit or douchebags without actually speaking.

In all fairness and because I thought it was the best deal...I called the guy again. This time he showed up. I've been working on it for 4 days getting it set up the way I want it so it no longer looks exactly like the pictures but here it is. Took it to the river to tests it out a couple days ago. Not very fast,,,runs 39 mph with just me and half a tank of fuel but other than that, I think it will suit my river needs.

This replaces the bass boat you sold?
Congrats. Looks nice. You could take that deep into the shallow redfish ponds and sightfish them. You could gig flounders at night in the flats. You could scoop the big blue crabs out of the marsh ponds.
Probably not much fun in anything greater than 10" seas.

This replaces the bass boat you sold? Yep. I needed something I could use in the river for bass, hybrids and stripers. I normally only fish freshwater when the weather or conflicts won't let me go to the gulf but I missed being able to do it after selling the bass boat. Was looking for a center console so I could also use it as a back up to the Sea Pro. Took it to the river again today.. so far the only fish I've put in this boat are bream but that should change with cooler weather.
