First let me start by saying they assume I submerged my I pilot remote in water. I didnt realize my boat had sank. Regardless if my boat sank or I took my I pilot remote in the shower with me it says its waterproof. They told me they wouldnt repair it because it was submerged in water. The remote has lived it's short life in the console of my boat under a carport. Condensation I could see but they are telling me it was submerged? Anybody else had warranty issues with minn kota?

That sucks. I thought they had better customer service than that. Luckily (or maybe not) I've never had to use my Minn Kota warranties since all my stuff works great until one day after the warranty expires.

Man I have had nothing but great support and backing from minn kota/hummingbird. Issues with remote … You can get the streamed down version new for like 60 bucks and pairing is a breeze . Watch for the large all function one on ebay, and then pair it to your motor. Weird it got condensation. Did the o-ring on the battery cover go missing? I have been just as good as submerged in down pours with no issues, but I store remotes and the helix in the house. Did you send your remote to Minnesota or was it your local warranty shop giving you this line. I have had some warranty work done on their products, but I contacted factory first and had them contact local warranty shop confirming my stuff was under warranty/no charge before dropping off.
